Please describe the enterprising work that went into this entry and its significance or impact on readers:
Our goal with this slideshow was to educate our readers so they can make informed decisions in their jobs and their education, helping them to find the path to career success within the world of technology. College grads have been having a rough go of it in the 2015 job market. Last year saw over 2 million new college graduates, all looking for where they fit into the digital workplace. Successful graduates in the tech field will need to prioritize their needs and carefully select the areas in which to spend their time and resources on further education and professional development.
IT and STEM careers continue to grow, but where are the biggest gaps and we regularly hear of gaps in skill coverage so it’s no wonder so many graduates are considering technology but where are the jobs? Sifting through huge amounts of data provided from Indeed.com, a job search engine, reporter Sharon Florentine culled the top areas in which new grads entering the technology and IT fields should consider focusing their time and resources. Along with that she adds some helpful notes about the requirements and expectations required to break into each respective area.
