https://www.medicaldesignandoutsourcing.com/about-us-contact/Description of the enterprising work that went into this entry and its significance or impact on readers:
The layout for this feature article began with an idea to try to graphically represent what the article was talking about. Start-up company, Endiatx, is developing a robot-sized pill that is swallowed and then manually and remotely controlled while inside the patients stomach. The thought of that technology is so futuristic and almost jarring enough that we had to get photography that showed the product in action. The senior art designer and managing editor went through the process of finding a freelance photographer on the other side of the country to help us make our vision possible. We directed the shoot remotely and ultimately ended up getting exactly what we were hoping for, the CEO beginning to swallow his creation (something he had done only twice before). The feature as a whole uses imagery from our two photoshoots to convey the actual size of the robot, the action of swallowing the pill, and the workspace used to develop the technology. The accompanying typography and color choice compliments the piece while keeping the eye catching photos at the forefront.
