Entry Essay:
Mission Statement: At EXHIBITOR magazine, our mission is to provide exhibit and event marketers with the tools and education to produce high-performance programs with measurable results.
Editorial Profile: As the leading publication for trade show and event professionals, EXHIBITOR provides case studies, how-to articles, trend reports, research reports, and tips on everything from logistics to cost cutting, to help exhibit and event managers produce high-performance face-to-face marketing programs with measurable results. EXHIBITOR also encourages excellence and innovation through awards programs designed to honor effective exhibit promotions, results-driven exhibit managers, strategic corporate events, and the world’s most stunning exhibit designs.
Demographic Profile: Corporate exhibit and event managers, marketing managers/directors, sales managers, and executives from small and large companies across all SIC codes. The majority of readers oversee 11+ trade shows/events per year. Average per-issue print circulation is 22,000.
Audience Impact: One feature that readers consistently rank among the most valuable of our offerings is our annual Salary Survey. In 2024, we published our 38th annual installment of the Salary Survey, which features extensive data and analysis from our original research. The survey questions are crafted in-house (with a keen eye to consistency, so as to allow year-to-year analysis), and fielded by a third-party agency. The 2024 survey was completed by more than 400 participants, screening out incomplete responses, responses from outside the United States, and responses from suppliers or those reporting no responsibility for their organizations’ trade shows or corporate events.
The piece provides readers with myriad data points, illustrated to be easily digestible and accessible to busy professionals. The information allows events professionals to assess general salary trends across the industry and measure how their earnings compare to those of their peers. Those who access the online version of the story are treated to a deeper dive into the data that the limitations of page count in the print publication didn't allow. The information is clearly laid out and engagingly illustrated, and readers are instructed how to use the data to meet their needs.
