When it comes to understanding and using enterprise technology, small and mid-sized businesses (SMBs) often get left out of the mix. Large companies tend to focus on large customers, making it difficult for smaller firms to figure out how technology can help them succeed. With this issue in mind, Computerworld in 2021 launched "Business Critical," a weekly newsletter for just this audience. The newsletter, written by Steven J. Vaughan-Nichols, delivers the timely, relevant, and authoritative information subscribers need to get the most from the technology on which they rely.

Vaughan-Nichols is a small-business owner himself and has been writing about technology for more than 30 years. As a result, his insights carry particular weight with our readers as he helps them understand what's going on in the workplace and how technology has evolved to fill SMB needs, too.
