Our mission, across the converging universes of print, digital, and social media, is to inspire and educate an audience of emerging and established architects and designers, design enthusiasts, and allied professionals around these core values: design innovation, technical excellence, best business practices, and social and environmental responsibility.

We accomplish our mission through a variety of ways. As The Journal of The American Institute of Architects, the print edition serves the organization’s members who make up our core audience. Features on new building projects anchor each issue, while stories on emerging architects, business strategies, and the latest tech anchor the front of the book. Online, we expand our brand, covering every new building, renovation, breakthrough, and everything related to architecture, infrastructure, and more. Our Project Gallery gives designers the chance to publish their own work. Over social media, we have more than 2 million followers across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and Tumblr. Our partnership with the AIA has led us to be a major part of the organization’s annual Conference on Architecture, with our live programming a big draw on the floor. Architect is a complete media brand, one that speaks to a broad audience but remains indispensable to industry experts.
