First published in 1908, the ABA Banking Journal is the flagship magazine of the American Bankers Association. In both its bimonthly print editions and online at aba.com/BankingJournal, the magazine provides timely and sophisticated analysis, insight and inspiration for banks of all sizes. The ABA Banking Journal website is also home to focused digital channels for bank risk/compliance professionals and marketers, as well as a daily online news service called ABA Daily Newsbytes, which includes an award-winning email newsletter that reaches 70,000 bankers daily with key industry trends and critical regulatory updates.

The May/June 2019 issue of the ABA Banking Journal examined the “how” of American business with seven print articles (plus online exclusives) on ways banks drive growth and business investment. From exploring how digital commercial loans are made to how community banks support export finance to how a North Carolina startup bank became the nation’s largest SBA lender, the special section was the most widely read of the special reports the ABA Banking Journal featured in 2019.
