The Journal and its companion website, newsletters and podcasts ensure it has among the largest readership of any legal publication in the world. While the Journal serves as a key benefit to members of the American Bar Association, it maintains editorial independence and integrity, allowing it to provide critical coverage of the trends, people and business of the legal profession from Wall Street to Main Street to Pennsylvania Avenue.

If a publication can provide information such as the future of your profession, how much your peers are making and where your dollar can best be spent, then therein lies real value. Therefore, for the ABA Journal readership, our articles on The State of the Profession, What Lawyers Earn and Best Places to Practice are some of the best-received, most informative career topics we produce. Designer Elmarie Jara was tasked with taking a tremendous amount of data for all three articles and making each one visually exciting while still providing a somewhat cohesive look for each. Consequently, we have some of the most colorful and engaging fever charts, bar charts, timelines and flow charts we've ever produced. This article was very well-received as an eye-catching and informative resource.
