This cross section of four eye-catching infographics from TechTarget proves that complicated technical information/data does not have to be presented in a boring way.

In each striking example, information has been cleanly organized into bite-sized chunks, allowing the reader to easily scan and understand the content. And for visual interest, each block or section offers a different type of chart – pie, bar, fever -- coupled with spot illustrations to keep the reader engaged and scrolling down the page.

Color also plays an important role in each example. Pleasing and harmonious pallets were chosen to attract the eye, highlight critical components or headlines and unify the information, but the colors never shout or distract the reader from the content.

As an alternative to the written word, these colorful and appealing visuals draw readers in and encourage them to look, linger and learn.
