For more than 65 years, Florida Trend has provided in-depth coverage, analysis and perspectives on the issues, people and ideas that define Florida.

Our aim is to deliver a magazine each month that’s not only an enjoyable read, but also a must-read for business leaders, political decision-makers and others who seek to understand the dynamics of a diverse and rapidly growing state. The August, September and October issues of Florida Trend showcase the special formula that makes the magazine indispensable to its readers.

Each of these three issue features a deeply reported cover story that readers won’t find anywhere else: An examination in the August issue of the fallout of the insurance and business establishment’s victory in the Legislature over so-called billboard attorneys with last year’s passage of sweeping tort reform legislature; a comprehensive look in the September issue at how the land-hungry solar power industry is gobbling up thousands of (mostly rural) acres across the state to build solar plants and the tradeoff that comes with that renewable energy pursuit; and a detailed and thorough investigation in the October issue of how new condo reinspection laws, passed by state lawmakers in the wake of the Surfside condo collapse, are having unintended consequences and pricing some Floridians out of their homes.
