Entry Essay: 
AASA’s Conference Daily Online is a daily e-newsletter that was produced over four consecutive days at AASA’s 2025 National Conference on Education, held March 6-8 in New Orleans, La. The e-newsletter site, part of the AASA website, was updated each evening with that day’s conference news, photo and video coverage. The content also was distributed via eblast early each morning to all association members – those attending the conference and those unable to do so.

As a multi-media electronic publication, we captured the daily highlights of our organization’s major annual event in text, sounds and pictures. The site’s contents each day were organized by major sections (Top of the News, Topical Sessions, AASA Awards, etc.), offering links to short news stories, photos, brief video clips and the conference blog involving postings daily by four AASA members on their conference experiences. We also included two podcast interviews with leading presenters in each day’s issue.

Notably, half of the publication’s reporters and videographers were high school and college journalists who had the opportunity to fulfill a valuable three-day internship with us. As an education association responsible for leadership of K-12 schooling, we are quite proud of that fact.
