Entry Essay: 
For nearly seven decades, Florida Trend has chronicled Florida business, with a special focus on the trends and people who shape it. Our audience includes top executives, aspiring C-suite leaders, political decision-makers and others. Our aim is to provide that audience with a broader and deeper view of things than they might get from their local business coverage — and to present our findings in a useful and engaging way. We feel our September, October and November 2025 issues hit that mark particularly well.

Each issue leads with strong, varied cover stories — ranging from shark research to the state of Florida’s timber industry to women reinventing the private companies they inherited from their fathers. Beyond the cover stories, you’ll find compelling features on myriad topics — how ice melting in Greenland is impacting Florida, how Boar’s Head is faring after its deadly listeria outbreak and how Northwest Florida is diversifying its economy with billions of dollars from the BP oil spill settlement.

Across all editions, our regular departments — including our Around the State regional news roundups, our beloved Icon interview and our NextGen feature focused on under-40 entrepreneurs — offer readers consistent, high-quality coverage with a distinctive voice. We also feel we elevated the reader experience this year with a sophisticated redesign that streamlined our pages. There’s much packed into each issue, but we endeavor for it not to be overwhelming, with a little something for everyone, no matter their geography or sector.
