tED magazine is the voice for the top distributors in North America. From national chains to successful independents, tED is read by the top distribution companies in the industry and is known for addressing the tough issues within the channel.

Electrical distribution is often an industry in which companies are hesitant to give away their "secrets." For this reason, tED is excited to have Kevin Reed as a regular contributor. Kevin has been a tED columnist for several years and, as a director of purchasing and operations for a relatively large distributor, he offers insights and advice in his columns that is unique not only to the magazine, but also to electrical industry publication in general.

The two columns I chose to enter from 2023 demonstrate Kevin's down-to-earth, yet thoughtful approach to providing information:

"The Problem with Power Equipment" tackles a struggle the industry has been dealing with since the COVID-19 lockdowns: getting products—and Kevin offers some very blunt advice to his suppliers.

"The End of a Relationship" is another look at supply chain problems, and Kevin pulls no punches when it comes to his experiences with supplier shenanigans over the past few years.
