Writing headlines for a magazine about electrical distribution is often challenging—especially when the topic is grounding devices or an NAED training offering. Whenever I can I inject a little fun, a pop culture reference, or a turn of phrase. Sometimes it's alliteration, sometimes it's a question important to the industry meant to capture the reader's attention, and sometimes it's just a quirky compliment to the photo that works well with the article.
Entry examples: "What's Not to Like" is an article about what contractors don't like about Amazon. "Wise Moves" offers advice on knowledge transfer as a younger generation moves into management, and "Ear to the Ground" provides advice from manufacturers of grounding devices.
Every time, though, headline writing in tED is serious business, and the result of careful consideration and thought.
