Description of the enterprising work that went into this entry and its significance or impact on readers:

The impact of the pandemic forced us at tED magazine to make significant changes to tie in all of our coverage on all platforms, whether it was in our digital-only magazine, online website tedmag.com, podcasts, and social media.
We realized we needed to cover daily events online, but they often needed more immediate depth of coverage. Our increased coverage and e-newsletters provided the essential daily information to our readers, with our page views increasing and our e-newsletters averaging a nearly 60% open rate for all of 2021.
Changing to a digital magazine allowed us to create issues of the magazine with that coverage within days, including making changes to cover stories based on current events. We also used our podcast to find subject matter experts and provide analysis within hours of events that impact our readers.
Our social media tied in all of our coverage to alert followers of content that was important on that day and how it can be found.
