CIO’s State of the CIO survey is conducted annually to shed light on the role of the CIO in the organization, the key skills needed for the job today, and CIOs' top priorities. Now in its 19th year, this benchmarking survey helps define the CIO agenda for the year ahead.

We revealed this year’s survey results in a video presentation, bringing CIOs into our studio to breathe life into the statistics, discussing how the findings resonate with their experience. The video aired live on LinkedIn and Twitter and is available on-demand on YouTube and CIO.com as well. The report's top line findings on the evolution of the CIO role as revenue generator and business leader were explored in depth in a feature article that appeared both online and in our Spring digital issue. Two additional online articles take a closer look at key aspects of the research: IT spending priorities for the year ahead and the roles IT leaders expect to have difficulty filling. And the full package was promoted on our LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook channels.
