Market Share, the official blog for commercial real estate, is published by NAIOP. It is a vehicle for commentary and analysis on commercial real estate and issues affecting the development industry. Market Share features posts from noted industry experts and commentators from a wide variety of perspectives, as well as regular NAIOP contributors and staff.

Please describe the enterprising work that went into this entry and its significance or impact on readers:

NAIOP's CRE.Converge is the association's annual conference. It attracts more than 1,200 C-suite leaders in commercial real estate for three days of networking, educational sessions and keynote addresses. The 2019 gathering was held in Los Angeles in October.

NAIOP always puts in a Herculean effort to cover the event, but this year, staffers and freelancers really went the extra mile, producing a whopping 20 blog posts during and immediately after the event. These write-ups covered everything from tours of properties in the Los Angeles area to live coverage of informative educational sessions and panel discussions.

But the main highlight was a keynote address on technology from Apple Computer co-founder Steve Wozniak, who along with Steve Jobs pioneered the development of the personal computer that has altered the trajectory of modern life in untold ways. Senior Communications Manage Brielle Scott turned Wozniak's Q&A session into an informative, easy-to-read post that succinctly captured his takes on topics across tech and much more.

Because CRE.Converge was held on the West Coast this year and NAIOP's headquarters is in the eastern time zone, coordination was tricky. However, communications senior manager Marie Ruff worked well into the evening for three days in Herndon, Virginia, to ensure that NAIOP's members received timely, relevant coverage from the event via daily e-mail news blasts.
