Please describe the publication's mission and readership:
restaurant development + design (rd+d) is a user-driven resource for restaurant professionals charged with building new locations and remodeling existing units. The publication provides a platform that allows these professionals from divergent backgrounds to come together to share best practices, perspectives, and experiences in the pursuit of developing solutions they can apply in the building, maintenance and repairing of their various locations.
The bi-monthly magazine reaches more than 42,000 readers and 15,700 subscribers. Our readership includes decision makers in more than 90% of the top 400 chain restaurants, as well as multi-unit independent restaurant operators, architecture and design firms, contractors/builders, and consultants.
This unique collection of readers receive original, compelling content in a highly visual and design-focused format not only through print, but also to an engaged digital audience. rd+d produces two separate monthly eNewsletters, the award-winning restaurant design digest, and the Product Showcase. rd+d brings industry titans together through its two renowned events: Tour the Design Trends and the Foodservice Equipment & Design Global Thought Leadership Summit. These events will gave our readers new opportunities to learn, network and be inspired by their peers.
Please describe the enterprising work that went into this entry and its significance or impact on readers:
This feature gives you tips about how to have an expensive look without busting your bank. Naturally, Art Deco fonts and the use of deep blues and golds compliment the swanky restaurants featured in the pictures. With plenty of images it was easy to provide the reader with a broad range of visual examples. It also made it possible to show smaller details while still maintaining the global picture.
